Working bees

Working bees are held on the first Sunday of the month from 10am -12pm.

 What is TEN?

The Taroona Environment Network is a local volunteer Landcare group formed in 1997 to protect and restore the biodiversity of Taroona's foreshore and adjoining gully reserves. Our work is endorsed by Kingborough Council's Bushcare Unit.

What does TEN do?

Monthly working bees to weed and plant are held at different sites along the foreshore. View our Working Bee Calendar below or see Events for upcoming bees. We also organise seasonal walkabouts - guided walks by local experts on various topics.

The day-to-day work of TEN is voluntary and includes maintaining our work sites, organising community events and providing expertise to community members (eg schools and individuals). For major projects we seek financial support from grants and donations.

How can I join?

You can become a financial member of TEN for just $5.00 per calendar year. Tax deductible donations are also gratefully received. 

New volunteers wanted! We are always on the lookout for new active members to join us at our working bees and on our committee.
