The hall is available for hire for meetings and functions. It also available for hire for social functions at reasonable rates with discounts for Taroona residents.

Taroona Community Cottage
The Taroona Community Cottage (formerly the Taroona Child Health Building) is now available for use and hire by Taroona residents.
The Kingborough Council has recently painted and refurbished the Cottage which is situated in the Taroona Park Playground.
The Community Cottage is under the management of the Taroona Community Hall Management Committee.

*Batchelor way is the short street immediately behind the disused shopping centre. From Channel Highway turn into either Taroona Crescent or Nubeena Crescent, then take the next turn into Batchelor Way.
The Hall is part of the Taroona park community use area, including the playground, dog exercise area, war memorial, Tennis and Bowls Clubs, skate park, Scout Hall and Taroona Neighbourhood Garden.
There is a playground suitable for young children adjacent to the Hall.

The Taroona Community Hall is managed by a committee of local volunteers who represent groups who use the Hall on a regular basis. The Kingborough Council appoints the committee members for a two year term. Non- aligned Committee members are also welcome.
The Hall Management Committee meets quarterly and reports to council in regard to repairs, maintenance and Hall purchases.
The management committee has purchased a public address system which is now available for use by in the hall.
The 2011 Hall Management Committee is:

- Lyn Long - correspondence secretary representing Possums Playcentre

- Ken Wright - non-aligned
The Hall is currently being well utilised with many community groups as regular users. They are:

- Gita Yoga
- Yoga and Meditation
- Table Tennis
- Zumba
- Taroona Community Association.
